CELEBRATE OUR 15TH ANNIVERSARY WITH US ON JUNE 11, 2023

Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ (BFQ-AZ) is celebrating fifteen years of dance and music, and featuring performances by Mariachi  Sonido De Mexico, the Herencia Mexicana Singers, and Dora Serrano. Under the direction of Vanessa  Ramírez, Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ honors the colorful traditions of Mexican folkloric dance and  features local dancers as young as five, up to advanced adult performers.

On Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 6 p.m. in the Chandler Center for the Arts (250 N. Arizona Ave.), the dancers of BFQ-AZ will share their story of fifteen years of arts education and performance, honoring  Hispanic heritage, and engaging the community through dance. The event also features special guest  International Instructors and Performers well known in the Folklorico dance community, including Maestro  Miguel Ángel Arellano Peña from Puebla, Mexico and Maestro Erasto Ortiz Oloarte from Veracruz,  Mexico. Both instructors have worked with dancers at the company over the past fifteen years. They will  be honored as ‘Padrinos of Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ’ during the event for their immeasurable impact  on the company and the community.
